Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

Amazing… Amazing… Amazing…. well, this is not the song for NBA Basketball. By the way, LeBron James was totally amazing last night! Very last second (not a minute), he made a shot and won the games. I am a big fan of his and Cleveland Cavaliers. Oh, I can’t wait to see their next game tomorrow!

Oh, sorry….. what I would like to tell you tonight what is amazing?
Yes, We are on the HGTV Canada website now! And of course, I am a big fan of HGTV, too!

I’m sure, any company does online business, always keeps tracking their visitors to their sites. How many people visit the site… from where… how long they have stayed… how was conversion rate… etc etc. Smiling, crying and mumbling… And of course I do same things every single night. We had BIG numbers of access to our website today, and what I found out? Many visitors came from the HGTV Canada! The article about Tenugui and us are on their blog now. Amazing… Amazing… Amazing…
Here is the link to the blog about Tenugui and us, please check it out!

Tenugui mumbling Vol.33 – Happy Mother’s Day from New York

Home is where your Mom is...

Home is where your Mom is...

New York is a very interesting city, and especially during holiday season. I did not see much holiday spirit during Thanks Giving and Christmas here, but it was everywhere on Mother’s day!
I went to the Bronx this Mother’s day to visit a nursing home. My friends Jan and Jon played afternoon Jazz there and took me to their little concert. Jan Leder is my favorite flute player and she has been playing in many places over 30-years. All the audience, young and old enjoyed their beautiful afternoon swing. Pure and warming sounds of her flute and Jon’s lively piano gathered together, and sent joy of sounds to all. Someday, I would like to do workshops there and share joy and smile with my tenugui… like their music.
On the way to the Bronx, and back to Manhattan…. I saw many people holding flower bouquets or balloons, more than any other holiday time. My dear friend said that;
“Everybody has a mother no matter what where you come from.”
New York…. people came from many different countries and background. Yes, you are right, my dear friend. We all have mothers!

I have two mothers – my mama in Tokyo and my mom in Texas. I am sorry that I could not visit you both…, but you are always in my heart. Home is where your Mom is…
