Don't forget Spring has come soon :-)

Don’t forget Spring has come soon :-)

Today is the big day of people living in America, or maybe in entire world….  inauguration 2017…
Sometime we feel fear when it comes something not known, or change that will affect our life,
I feel very afraid and worry about America and world today…

As I am a small business owner and an immigrant, and making and selling Japanese product in United State of America.
What will change for import duty? What will change foreign currency?
Small business tax? health insurance? Humans rights? Women’s right? etc. etc….
I have been very concerned and sensitive for these topics last few months.
And today…. I am very depressed… not like typical me….

I love America and New York very much, giving me so much Hope to live in my dream here.
No place like in New York, each of people has all different back ground, races, culture, language etc etc….
and we all mingled nicely and equally.

All my wishes are, We can have Hope, Love, Peace and Equality for every single person living their life in this world.
I am wishing that we could enjoy beautiful Cherry Blossom in D.C. this coming Spring, where all trees are came from Japan and standing there very long time peacefully….

Tenugui mumbling Vol. 114 – Valentine’s day or Fundoshi Day?

Wednesday, February 13th, 2013
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and Fundoshi Day!

Valentines Day or Fundoshi Day?

I found this photo on Facebook, and I LOVE IT!!!!!!! It said; ” February 14th, Valentine’s and Fundoshi Day – Relationship and Fundoshi can make a knot many times. ”

Do you know about Fundoshi? Fundoshi is a Japanese traditional underwear that has a very long history. The shape of Fundoshiis a vertical Tenugui with a long string attached on it. You can use string to tie Fundoshi around your waist, and the Tenugui portion comes around between your legs. See the photo of Tenugui Fundoshi master Ringmaster Yoshi (Tokyo Circus) here!

So now, I think I can think of this quote in two different ways;

1. When your Fundoshi get looser, you can tie up(or fix) tightly anytime, so does your old relationship.

2. Fundoshi can tie many times, so does making new relationship with someone always.

Well… how do you think?
Let’s give a nicely tight hug to your sweetheart tomorrow, and show her/him your true love!
Or hug yourself nicely for Thank you being ME :-)

Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day, Tenugui Fans \(*v*)/
We love you always!!!!!!

Tenugui mumbling Vol.90 – How to use tenugui by Bunny-chan

?

Bunny-chan is introducing you how to use Tenugui!

Bunny-chan is introducing you how to use Tenugui!

Her name is Bunny-chan, and she is introducing you how to use Tenugui! She loves Tenugui very much , as much as I do! This is a card holder for my new tenugui project “?I HEART JAPAN Tenugui Project” , and my sweet friend Emiko put all my bunnies together on the card. (Thank you Emiko!!!!)
I designed and produced a special tenugui to help emotional support to the suvivors of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on March 11th, 2011.

When customers purchase “I HEART JAPAN” tenugui online or events, we’ll send a mame-shibori tenugui which has been very popular among the Japanese for centuries, with their care messages to the survivors. I choose a heart shaped card which I found them in Paper Source, Brooklyn, and I named it as Kokoro Card. Kokoro means Heart in Japanese…

This is a donation mame-shibori tenugui with Kokoro Card and bunny-chan card holder!

I would like to continue this project as long as I can, and my goal is for all the survivors to receive a tenugui and a kokoro card someday… and I am sure that Bunny-chan will bring a smile to them also.

A Japanese photographer TETSU took these beautiful photos in Nigata, Japan. The colors of flowers and a butterfly
They are perfect together, and this special day today!

A Forget-me-not (wasure nagusa 勿忘草) is one of my mother’s favorite flowers. I have not spent Mother’s Day with my mom for a long time… since I left my country when I was eighteen years old…

Forget-me-not… of course I remember, Mom!
A small white butterfly will bring you a word with beautiful Spring.

Happy Mother’s Day, dear Mom in Japan and Texas!!!!

Tenugui mumbling Vol.55 – Hatsuyume (First dream)

standing same place on New Year Eve

standing same place on New Year's Eve

On the morning of New Year’s Eve, I was standing at my usual place at the subway station to go to work. I looked at the other side of the platform, and I found a homeless guy was bundled up in his blankets, and peacefully sleeping. I hadn’t seen him for a long time, and I remembered that he was not there last New Year’s eve. I got a strange warm feeling in my heart as soon I knew he was there, and in his place.

I have met so many great people this year through my Tenugui. They support me, and tell me the stories of their life. The words they give to me, I always cherish, and they bring me good spirits, and send me hope and light. Many?wuhao friends send me messages and compliments everyday, which give me a confidence to continue in my own life.

In Japan, If you have a dream about Mt. Fuji, Hawks, or eggplants on the first night of the new year, you will have a blessed year. For me, dreaming about waking up on a Tenugui field filled with love and energy, makes me feel blessed…

Happy New Year to all!
Wish you all have a great year 2010, be loved and love….

and Peace…
