Happy Chinese New Year, Tenugui Fans!

Nian Nian You Yu 年年有余 is the word for greeting Chinese New Year.
Nian Nian 年年 means every year, and You Yu 有余 is prosperity, and also same pronunciation Have Fish 有魚! That is why, using fish motif for the New Year Celebration!

Not only in China,? and also Tai-fish (Red Snapper) is a symbol of celebration in Japan. Kin-me-dai 金目鯛 is a Rea Snapper, and the pronunciation is same like Me-de-tai めでたい Congratulation in Japanese!
